+1 thumbs my thoughts too Graham for trying the rising rate front springs, really to try and maintain the overall balance of the car, especially with the 5 leaf springs now on the rear Peter.

cheers MZ

Hi Peter,

A friend of mine in the Fellmog group of MSCC (and fellow TMer) gave me a copy of The Morgan World International (Issue 31) which is published by Melvyn Rutter, after we had been discussing this issue at a meeting recently. There is an article on rising rate springs in on Page 50 written by Peter Ballard. It describes the work being done by Dan White (someone I believe I used to race with) to develop a front suspension upgrade using rising rate springs to improve comfort but maintain/improve road holding. The kit, including a main spring, secondary spring, rebound spring, thrust race and damper is about £320-00 and Melvyn Rutter can supply and fit. Maybe they could supply a kit for your local dealer to fit them for you.

If I can get the printer and scanner up and running on the new MacBook I can send you a copy of the article if you like.

MZ

P.S. I think Graham also makes an appearance in this issue, on Page 38 .....
