Sorry, as far as I could tell, not in build yet upside - every week build quality is steadily improving. The workforce are flat out on 3w'ers. I suspect any bottlenecks are in the supply of parts rather than build capacity at MMC

I counted out the weeks on the calender to find the 43rd week of the year (this week) but I was uncertain if that was the way the factory figured the week; their 43rd week may take into account holidays and whatnot that I am unaware of over here.

On top of that there is always productivity flex within the timeline of building them, as the build teams have to trouble shoot any issues themselves.

Fingers crossed that mine is on the building block soon!

Just got word my one is going into build in the next very few days so at some point in November I'll get to drive it home over Glenshee!
Might have to lash out on a new jumper to deal with this no heater business.

Been away for a few days but have loved the little car and now clocked up almost 250 miles.

Only one real problem - car makes a chirruping, squeaking noise from somewhere in the drivetrain. This isn't always there and usually is quiet for the first few miles and then appears. Very difficult to be absolutely sure where it's coming from but my son reckons it's from somewhere near the gearbox. (But we all know how sounds travel round cars...)

Seems to be independent of gear or anything and might just be something rubbing. Ore could be something like the clutch mechanism? Dunno. Any of you clever clogs had this? (Apologies for rather vague description.)

Otherwise car is a peach. Promise to get some photos despatched to TM over the weekend!

Does the noise disappear when you have put the drive train under load?

For example does it appear when you press the clutch or you're running at a steady speed. Only when the cars warmed up though.

If so I've a similar problem which seems to relate to it being a new belt, which should be adjusted out at its first service.

I was going to suggest final drive belt - they occasionally squeek on HDs too...

Was advised during the summer that mine would be built in week 22 -- of 2013. So I decided to step back and avoid salivating for an entire year to no good purpose.

But yesterday I got an e-mail from Bill Fink (famed US importer) that The Factory wished to know my final specifications for build.

Woah! Head spinning here. No official build schedule provided, but apparently my open 3-wheeler will be arriving during the California rainy season, i.e. January. Woo-hoo.

So I have returned here, and hopefully not because The Factory needed 35 weeks of notice.

p.s. Going for a Green/Tan RHD model. With any luck it will be the only RHD made for the US.

for such a small vehicle, RHD will probably be livable compared to having other RHD cars in the US. If possible, I would likewise love to have a RHD M3W in the US, would only add to the uniqueness. Passing people will be slightly more difficult though as you will have to creep out a lot more to pass and drive through windows are the other hard thing in RHD, but I assume it would be easy enough to lean over to the other side.
