I agree. Without those stripes it would be perfect. I took one for a spin from the factory - almost the archetypal Mog, narrow body, torquey and quite spirited with the 2 litre engine.

On the black car you can hardly see the stripes. And I suppose you could spray them out as well.

I think the stripes probably peel off with a little help from a hairdryer. Nice car but it needs the earlier windscreen pillars...far more classy in my view.

Nah! It needs the fold down screen and a pair of aero screens.

Back on thread just for a moment hide

I noticed on your link Richard that the screen is cracked on the Drivers side which I think is the first time we have heard of a screen cracking that side for what it's worth. RHD that is.

Drivers side of screen cracked on my ivory 2010 4/4 sport when a large truck rocked the whole car with its 'bow wave' - I was stationary in traffic and it was coming the other way at near 60mph on a narrow road, screen replaced under warranty

Hmm makes you realise how fragile the whole screen/mounting business is on these models.

Today i receive a copy of MCD Morgan-Post from my new found acquintance in Germany, what a Mag, over 200 comprehensive pages, only problem been i don't understand German other than "would you like Tea or Coffee, so i will have to go to the Google translator for help.

However pictures paint a 1000 words and certainly this was drawn to my attention, an article on the issue of Wind Screens Cracking and even better still in the left hand corner as i beielve is the same issue derived from this conitinuing thread.

See below.

Looks like there is some text missing between the two pages. Google translator works normally quit good, but if you have some questions regarding the text understanding I could possibly help a bit.

Heinz

i personally do not have any questions as i do not run a traditional model, but maybe it will
help if you could translate a brief outline to what is said in the article.

this would help the fellow TMers on here

Thank you Dean
