OK chaps, your new mystery part number quiz is attached.

Graham at Uncle Melvyn's tells me that if he has any hope of getting me one, he needs a part number for the return pipe (that's the stainless steel tube) I have marked here running the length of the RED arrow and is partly hidden by the air trunking. I think there will be reference MCA plus 4 numbers teeped onto the mounting bracket that holds it against the heatshield below. Would any silver-top owners mind taking a look to let me know if they can spot this?

Also, if anyone can tell me the source for/ identify part numbers on the expansion tank AND bracket circled in YELLOW, I would be very grateful.

cheers, Colin

ps fingers crossed the picture is attached! It does not show up in message preview - so waiting to see what happens when I post.

Andrew,
Maybe your diagram could go on Morganatica?

The expansion tank is from the likes of the Sherpa van. Also used on various other Leyland vehicles, +8 Mogs etc.
Not the same as the earlier Range Rover / Land Rover...
Sorry can't help with the hose.
Cheers,

Graham (G4FUJ)

The header tank when fitted to MGB/Midget is ARH 250. There should be one or two on e-bay.
The bracket isn't MGB/Midget though, which is different to fix to the inner wing.

Hi Colin
See link re expansion tank same as MGB 1976/81, however the bracket is modified by Morgan to fit the 4/4. You can used the bracket shown on link with a 90degree upturn bracket which would have to be fabricated. Could look for a tank and clamp on Friday at NEC and send up to you, if you like.

Answers are pouring in! But the arrow and circle thing is a feature of 'Preview' in the Macintosh world. Preview is the pdf reader we strange people have served up to us in our operating system. And it incorporates some rudimentary, and effective, editing and annotation functions.

cheers, Colin
