Not sure if they would quote but Adrian Flux always was very helpful when i was running V8 american sports cars for a time when i was.... a little younger. If sure they would underight you, they insured me on a Z28 Camaro at 23........ I admit it wasnt as expensive as a Morgan.
I tried them again a year ago on a Z1, C6 and it was around £650 fully comp, 7 yrs ncb and 7500 miles.

I am worried you might have got the wrong end of the stick with gavin. I have spoken to him on many occasions and he has always been professional and helpful.
Mind you, he didn't really want to insure my new merc, although if he had my little lad wouldn't have his new meerkat toy
