I'm not sure I'd put myself in the 'mug' category, in fact anyone with the spare cash to spend is probably not in this category either.

But this one small element is a distraction. Solved by a leather trim in my case and rather elegantly solved by Ian (above).

It's an aluminium casting. Cut in two with a fine slitting saw after drilling a couple of holes for screws to hold the sections together. I did consider covering the cowl with leather as well. I may do it one day...
