Diesels and open tops don't work well in my experience. My brother's BMW 330D convertible had a strong engine and was quick but the torque delivery was too much for the chassis, it smelt and sounded fairly awful at all speeds and wasn't even very economical.

GT3 Aero again , hopefully. Was at Silverstone 2009 what a great car and what a sound. Maybe though ,the V8 is on its way out in the near future
