Standard ones are a nightmare to adjust - particularly the nearside one. I gave up & within a week of picking the car up I replaced them with round ones bought from Heart of England Morgans.

I initially had trouble adjusting my mirrors on the 4/4
I eventually found settings that were good.
It involved both clocking the mqain stem to another notch as well as adjusting the upper stem by loosening the lock screw.
The lower stem is a sprung fit that will click to a different setting. That was the main adjustment that got the setting easier to make.

Thanks everyone,

I've tried all the adjustments. I haven't tried dismantling the mirror, but It doesn't look like there's much to be gained there. I have looked at the mirrors from John Taylor, having bought a cockpit cover from him, so will probably go down that route.

I have the same problem and have asked the factory to replace them when it goes back for paint correction in the new year.

Hi snailmog, I am a bit vertically challenged and found the originals pretty useless, well particularly the passenger one. If you find an answer to scratched perspex, do share it. The Autosol scratch remover is OK for fine scratches but how I got scratches on the outside beats me!
Popped into Jewsons on holiday once and bought super glue. He saw the Mog and asked if it was to fix that. I had quite a crowd watch me glue the window 'slider knob' back onto the perspex window.

Now, thinking about all that's been said about changing Morgan design, the electric window motor on my Subaru cost roughly £500 quid more than that and I have enough glue to fix several Morgans. I make that Subaru nil and Morgan laughing at the lot!

The simplest solution is to replace the perspex. I have a plastic polishing kit which contains superfine wet n dry, starting at 1500 grit and going in stages to uberfine x0000 grit, plus liquid polish. It works but is very tedious and time consuming and is not meant for whole areas - just localised refinishing.

This may sound daft ( abusive comments will be ignore ) but is it not possible to replace the perspex with safety glass?
