Mine didn't need any non-standard fitments to catch fire...

If ever happens I will have to remember to sift through the ashes and remove the USB charger Actually, on thinking about it, I imagine it would not be that easy to find given that area is mainly wood and plastic. I haven't checked but I would think all the circuits are fused and I doubt a 15mA load would cause any problems.

Christian. My Plus 4 does not have that aluminium panel. I think it must be a different model. Nice job by the way.

Peter. It is an 2006 4/4 anniversary. This alloy panel is under the dashboard's instrument panel (above the heater and radio). A good place to mount "hidden" switches. I am planing to mount heated seats and I think I will use the panel also for the heatings's switches.

Easy enought to put a 2A fuse inline as an added precaution. I doubt if 15ma will make too much difference if the battery is in good condition. I suppose one could install a switch if it was a concern.

We once insured our son's bike when he went to Uni as a miscellaneous bicylce. It got nicked & when we claimed were told we should have specified the miscellaneous bike.
No payout & next year the price went up as we claimed. Naturally that company is not used by me now.
My advice from that is to call when renewing and ask all the questions you can. They all record these conversations & if pushed send you a transcript . We always ask now about bikes, kids away from home etc
