What is the make of the hood tensioners? Are they still on the market? My vinyl top is a b***** to put up when cold. Had to leave it in the central heating for a couple of days and then stretch it before fitting.

Great, thank you very much Gerry. I just called John, even though it's Boxing Day (in England) he picked up the phone and I ordered them. Said he'll ship them out tomorrow.

Use a hair dryer on the hood . What is the make of the hood tensioners? Are they still on the market? My vinyl top is a b***** to put up when cold. Had to leave it in the central heating for a couple of days and then stretch it before fitting.

My vinyl top is a b***** to put up when cold. Had to leave it in the central heating for a couple of days and then stretch it before fitting. The tensioners are a god send, I have them fantastic, but if the hood has been of for time and cold, take it inside and stick it next to a radiator or electric fan heater till warm then fit quick. They arrived a few days ago. Fitted them last night, hood on, no problem, very little effort required. The best little accessory you can buy for a classic.
