Gripping stuff. Love the calm voice of the air traffic controller. The pilot was pretty calm too only calling in a PAN not a MAYDAY
A shame the undercarriage did not stand up to the landing.

Like their pilot themed watches, but would not get me up in that contraption. Looks like he only just cleared that stone wall. Sticking to Terra Firma thank you very much.

A shame the undercarriage did not stand up to the landing. I may be wrong but probably safer to crash land on rough ground wheels up. The whole thing seemed pretty calm. Not the best part of the country to lose your engine....I'd prefer East Anglia myself!

Amazing video and a cracking landing. . Interesting to me as I know the area well. Not too sure what the relevance is to the watch manufacture though.

One of the guys who runs Bremonts plane? I know they fly a number of classic planes.....and the watch shown at the beginning of the clip was a Bremont!

It wasn't one of the Bremont chaps or one of their planes, as far as I know.
Tragically the father of the boys was killed in a plane crash and one of the sons (who was piloting) was in a coma for a long while....
You wouldn't get me up in a vintage plane for all the tea in China.

I had assumed it had a fixed undercarriage but I see from Googled photos that it folds back but still leaves the wheels exposed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakovlev_Yak-50_%281975%29
