Sorry if this has already been covered but it has come to my attention that the Aeromax shows up on a car reg check as an Aero 8 2 seat convertible, so do the early Aero Supersports and the new Plus 8 shows up as an Aero Supersports convertible.

Why is this? Something to do with crash testing perhaps??

Have you tried more than one registration and with more than one reg checking service? What matters is the information the DVLA hold and this can be amended.

Yes I have checked lots of cars but I figured these car reg check companies interface with the DVLA computer anyhow, the red Max on eBay does however show up as Aero Aeromax V8 - Coupe

Possibly down to how it was first registered then - cars can be registered incorrectly, wrong colour, all sorts of things. Technically if you find fault with the registration document you're required to let them know.

Oh - that must explain why the V5 of my 4/4 clearly states 'Rigid Body' laugh2

Confirmed; i once had an unfortunate experience, 3 hours spent in a Police Station in North London after Transporting a TR7 to a dealer, he realised the Log Book did not match the Car.

2 cars had been sold on the same day 6 years previous, a white one and a Silver one, the Log books where sent to Swansea, both Customer on receipt of there Log book didnt bother to check the detials and filed them away. I had known the owner and the car for many a year so didnt suspect anything could be wrong.

Turns out the details of each car had incorrectly been posted to the wrong owner,
The Police seized the vehicle until Swansea re-issued the correct book to each owner, a very costly experience as i lost all transport costs and profit i had in the car TUT TUT big experience @ 25ya Grrrrrr

A few years ago bought a new car for swmbo . We collected it, drove it home and then went out for a drive where we noticed that the front and rear number plates were different! We took it back and to the dealer and they changed one of the plates so we had a matching pair... trouble was that when the V5C arrived it was registered on the plate the dealer had removed... another trip for a pair of new plates with the right numbers ooo

It wasn't a BMW by any chance?...I've had just the same thing!

Mind you MMC aren't much better. My car had factory plates on it when I bought it, that they wanted to retain. They told me they'd look after all the paperwork...the only problem was that after the transfer the paperwork with my new reg sat in one of their in trays for weeks and i was running the car around illegally!
