Mirande is a Nebraskan, rescued from Edinburgh Uni where she was going to be Christmas dinner once scientific research was complete.

Neville the cockeral came from someone nr Malvern, he was brought home in a cat basket in the back of my Roadster, at speeds touching xxx mph..

That will be a good one Jeremy - is that where they overnight?

Reference earlier link to Blue Bowl at West Harptree - it would be good to assemble a few Sports and any other alternative petrol burners along too when tothers put theirs back on the road.

Have included full size of Avatar if that makes sense doh
It's just so quiet on the roads up here in the rush hour - check Big Ben time - Oh yes it will always be Big Ben for my family.
You will notice all photos taken on the move near parliament - well would you park up near any of those Robbing Lying Basta8ds oops

Superb, my friend, even dirtier than Henrietta! Was due to clean her yesterday (lovely on the Mendips for once) but swmbo demanded cleaning rights for Iris (her VW camper) else no dinner. Thought I'd do Hen after but cold hands told me to try again on Friday. Which now looks like snow, so maybe not.

Cheers

Jeremy

PS - BLUE BOAR West Harptree : never been though been past many, many times. Perhaps when warm days return a 4/4 Sport get together? (Other Morgans welcome, of course)

This would be good maybe even tempt Graham down as he has knowledge of The Bowl - when a few other owners have extracated their vehicles from their incarceration and we go above 10C will be the time for lunch & a visit to a place of interest of your choosing even ?

Awful when they resort to withholding food "n" things. They think the silent treatment is suffering for us, I rest my case - Reminds me of another Westcountryman's quote " If at first you don't succeed call an Airstrike" I've adopted it this year as my motto. i.e. Don't take any 8hit from anyone or prisoners, no change there then really, it's just that he paints it on walls not far away from you and Banks the Money. thumbs

When I was at college in London in the 70's a we had a tour around the houses of parliament, a Londoner friend in his Ford Pop parked on Westminster Bridge at a jaunty angle to the pavement, slapped a well used "Broken down gone for help" sign on the windscreen, did the tour, came back, drove off, job done. Everyone else found back streets after ages searching, several got done for parking etc etc. Might not be advisable to try it now!

Nice one Simon - I think everything and everyone is viewed as a suspect incendiary device, with very good reason these days in the Village.

My P&J was overnighted in the basement carpark of the Union Jack Club in Waterloo, where Henry was minded by an ex Ghurka and I was more than happy to leave the keys with him. All this for the princely sum of £15 car parking fee + £46 single with normal facilities.

A lot of the guys and girls employed are ex active duty and are a great friendly bunch of people to stay with.

Sound like a plan Richard. I'm not much of a leader of men, so "place of interest of my chosing" might not be very interesting to some. Could look at Tyntesfield if we have a few NT members or Castle Combe circuit, if they have a suitable weekend event, if we prefer to see a bit of drive & flag

Might have to start a new thread if other TM'ers are interested in a warmer-days day out?

Cheers

Friends used to live just up the road from the Bowl - towards the reservoir on opposite side of the road.

I'm in the NT too, haven't been to Tyntesfield for a couple of years...

Castle Combe usually last event in the MSCC SpeedMog Championship, in October... smile
