Welcome to TM. cheers

With the M3W being so new it is interesting to read everyone's experiences and see all the extras that owners have introduced. coffee

I usually say about TM that "all your questions answered here", but in the case of the M3W it is still, "all experiences shared here", which is no bad thing. mail

Thanks all! It has been a blast what little weather we have had here to drive before the winter. My car's delivery was a sad story as it successfully dodged hurricane sandy only to be damaged by the delivery company when it came from my dealer. The delivery company used some straps that rubbed off the paint on the lower bead rail on both sides!! Needless to say I was furious. The delivery company was no help and paid for nothing. So a word of waring to all US buyers... Be SURE they know how to handle the three wheeler before you set up delivery. My dealer was very helpful and stepped in to help pay to repair the damage. The shop repainted the lower part of the car and now she looks better than factory! As a result, I had the body rivets painted as well which gives the car a slightly different look than stock.

Jays-

That is a Simmonds steering wheel! I have attached a photo. They made me an engraved center piece for it as well which looks nice. The wheel is comfortable and great to use, but I am thinking about changing over to a fourspoke 14 or 15" wheel for a more retro look.

Oh yes- I almost forgot. doh I changed the mirrors over to the raydot mirrors from SVCC and they are nice but totally useless for rearward visibility. I was worried the stock mirrors with tier long stalks would eventually fatigue the alum body and produce cracks but I may swith back..any thoughts from the forum?

My helmet is a davida 50's racing style and I LOVE it. My goggles are made by jeantet also perfect for that vintage look and very functional. I use them to fly old biplanes and they are super. I think it suits the car very well and it is very comfortable with the leather ear covers. THe bevel box is noisy over 50 mph in 5th it starts to whine LOUD. So on the highway for any distance earplugs are a must.

Liking the steering wheel, think the standard one looks a little utilitarian for the money.

The Davida "Pudding basin" Classic helmet? Very stylish and as you say, the Jeantet goggles look great with it.

I thought the bevel box issue had been sorted out by now.....the car I drove a year ago was very noisy and had its box changed by the factory later. They do settle down as they bed in though.

We like old planes on this forum as well......(trains, planes, watches, cameras etc etc!) so any photos will be very well received!!!!
