@1234 -- Was Melvyn Rutter able to help you with the fold-down windshield?

Here in the USA we have quite a few 1951-57 Morgans with original-type fold-down windscreens, but replacement parts are almost non-existent. A friend with a 1956 four-seater was able to fabricate a new section of the post from stainless steel billet.

FYI: In comparing the folding base-and-post assemblies (stantions?)we noticed that the castings on my 1953 +4 were noticeably thicker and sturdier than those on his 1957 +4.

Hi MacMog, have not tried Melvyn Rutter yet, was hoping for an original one that has been in someones garage for some time, will have a look around autojumbles in the spring. I know I can get hold of the folding mechanism repro, but beefier the better, also need screen surround however.

Engine top end rebuild taking up the cash at the moment however!
