It is my understanding that the rising rate kit will now be marketed independently of the MMC, and that they are "tuned" to a particular model of vehicle.
I will almost certainly be getting a kit at some stage for my +8, but my expectations are for an incremental improvement rather than the dramatic change that I would anticipate that the librands /Mulfab kit would deliver

6.5k seems an awful lot? Can't be much more if you did it bespoke at a race engineers with co-operation of a major manufacturer?

I agree, £7800 with VAT - a bit much I think. frown I'll see how much the rising rate suspension is when I get Peter's email.

Hopefully it will be better value.

Cough, splutter, didn't even notice that was sans VAT. No mention of manufacturer of the various bits either unless I'm being blind?

I know companies like AST enjoy a challenge/do chassis development and given their pedigree I'd be interested in what they'd have to say about a solution?

Whilst I know of AST and I'm sure they're capable of developing a solution (as are some other company's) what I really want Nick is a bolt-on solution. confused2

As Sprinty has said, Mulfab do the manufacture you can see it on the link that Graham posted above.

It's a really well engineered solution. I saw it in development when I was at Mulfab a couple of years ago.

The Mulfab and librands syatems are one in the same. There was an article on them in the October(I think) issue of Miscellany. My Roadster is currently with Russell Paterson having the system fitted along with AVO rear shocks and a panhard rod. Expectation is a transformed suspension. I took the plunge based on 'informed' advice as unfortunately it was not practicle to attempt a test drive of a converted car. I am told components are currently being fabricated and the stub axles are away being modified, plan is the car will be ready for the spring (whenever that turns out to be in scotland). If Russell takes some photos during the work I will post them

Andy

Folks,
I am impressed with the thought of rising rate front suspension, and the reputation of those involved is impressive, but effectively €800 incl VAT is a lot to shell out before the system is proved. I'll be watching the reports with interest and if the wisdom of this forum's gurus is that it is worthwhile, then a raid on the piggybank will be attempted!!!

Cheers!
