Hi Everyone,

I've got to lock down my color choice this week for my m3w and really struggling to decide on paint and leather. while i know this is a deeply personal decision I thought i'd reach out to everyone to get their thoughts.

while i know the metallic vs non metallic on the 3 wheeler is a hotly debated topic and people's preferences lean to non metallic due to the vintage nature of the M3W, but i've always been a sucker for metallic paint as I love the bit of extra depth it gives to the car.

I really like a super dark grey or black metallic paint and I think with the bright pack it would really look sharp. I have found grigio silverstone to be quite handsome. Attached are some examples of it on an aston as well as a 458 Ferrari. I've also thrown in a couple pics of dogmanjack's aero coupe that he has in metallic k-2 black as it is too sharp to ignore.

That being said, I'm also struggling to decide on leather. While I like saddle brown (although i'm worried it might be too orange) I'm also tempted by doing some variant of red/ maroon as it's a great vintage throwback and maybe even do the quilted stitching.

would love to see any version of red interiors or brown variants you guys have to show off, preferably on a dark grey/silver car. i've scoured the forums for as many examples as i can find but sometimes there's some hiding underneath a few unturned rocks. and yes i know of gunther's silver/red combo but i think the stingray grey might not be dark enough for me.

Can't thank you all enough.

Whilst I am biased, the Liquid Mercury used on the original Aeromax is one of my favourite grey tones. The paint isn't inexpensive but as there isn't a huge area to cover, it may be worth considering if you like the colour.

Photos do not do it justice but here are a few to consider: -

The interior also does not photograph well because in reality it does not look distressed but rather has a nice patina and almost looks like suede. This is not a standard leather but imho worked perfectly with Liquid Mercury

Firstly Dogmanjack hasnt got an Aeromax MEHOW MEHOW, however his Aero Coupe is a Gorgeous colour.

Looking at colours that are on Ferrari and Aston please bare in mind that these Manufacturers work with the A grade Paint Manufacturers, therefore choosing one of these colours, for future repairs you may need to purchase that Brand of Paint which will prove very costly.

Simons Aeromax looks lovely in the L/M but IMHO the 3W is to short to be silver.

As for the interior i didnt have a choice as i purchased second hand, however if i did have the option to choose it would be tan or some stressed Brown.

Good Luck

Beautiful Max, IMHO silver is the perfect finish for such a masterpiece.

the rendering looks great. I have been trying to focus on actual builds as the renderings make me a bit nervous.

that being said, looks very sharp. the non bright pack setup looks great as well. have been really struggling with the bright pack as it's so much money but for the really dark paint colors i feel like there might not be enough contrast/pop.

the sparkling graphite looks great. is that a standard bmw color or custom? i had a sapphire black 335 a few years ago and it was really sexy.

as for the matte black, while i think it looks really sick I think it's getting a bit played out with people doing crazy wraps on their cars
