Selling on behalf of my Father in law, a 1939 Series One Morgan.
He has had the car for at least ten years and bought it as a restoration project.
It has been re-built from the bottom up to a very high standard but now needs the finishing touches to complete it.
Unfortunately, ill health has prevented him from finishing the project.
The car was found in a farmer’s field with a tree growing through the floor!
Since then he has completely re-built it.
It has the original Coventry Climax 1450cc engine, fully refurbished by George Proudfoot at Early Morgan Workshop.
The chassis is new, as is the ash frame; again these were supplied by George Proudfoot.
The seats have been professionally re-upholstered.
All body work panels are in good condition and have been primed, but it does need re-spraying, not such a bad thing as you can have it in any colour you wish!
The interior upholstery also needs finishing.
The exterior lights etc are present but need fitting.
It comes with 6 new wheels and tyres.
The car is at present in France, he had it shipped over there when he retired.
It has a wonderful number plate, which just today I got a quote on from a broker at £1450.
The car starts and runs well and will, when completed be a beautiful example of this iconic British sports car.
Photographs will be made available via email only
Offers over £15,000 will be considered.
Thank you for taking the time to read this posting, should you require any further information please don’t hesitate to contact me.
