I think the switch will be to isolate the inertia cut off

yes, yes yes! Thanks Sprinty, should have thought of that, and the inertia switch is still there in the photos. I did like Jeremy's suggestion of a Nitro switch though

Yep ROAD/RACE switch is for the fuel pump inertia switch. Not worried about comparing the cost really, as Jeremy knows money is'nt really an object and I would still of had to spend money on a babydoll/supersport. but the 1600 was a good a starting point as you can get power out of it and the unit is very light. In the class I'm entering you are not allowed to use anti-tramp bars but I will be using a panhard rod. If I move up class in 2014 then anti-tramp bars will be fitted, but for now the holes were kept there to help to stop bufferting.

Very nice project, indeed. I guess there will also be some engine tuning involved. On my 4/4 Sport (2009) I removed the air filter box in front of the engine and installed a K&N open air filter system ( K&N kit nr 57-0686 for Ford Focus II ) directly to the air inlet at the rear of the engine via an elbow duct together with a funnel just below the radiator and an air ducting pipe. This save some weight and gives a nice induction and exhaust sound. D'herde Bart

This modification enhances the engine breathing (I hope!), saves some weight and produces a nice induction and exhaust sound. Cordially D'herde Bart
