Thats just your opinion . Wouldn't go for finned drums for efficiency unless you want to polish them for appearance- they look nice but you won't get the drums hot enough for the fins to make a difference unless you are on a trackday or racing. I wouldn't use a Pinto - they were used by some engineers for analysing wear as they quickly deteriorate. Use a Zetec or a crossflow if you want something historic. CVH is a dead end.

Jays , it is could not get my front end any harder if I popped in two Viagra and the rear but thats the way I like it . I used to go to Cadwell , Croft with MAD Mike B ( never a more true word typed )brain dead no fear at all . He had a 3.5 1984 carbs +8 and he could out do the racing lads at the time got a video of him in action . Me I just enjoyed the track. Tried to race a MGB till I was told he had kept hush about its V8 engine . Its sunny SPRING IS IN THE AIR AT BL**DY LAST. 30 days to go and Im on the road its like having a Christmas advent calender in my head .

Steve give me your e-mail .............
FRONT SUSPENSION , Sliding pillar with Koni shock absorbers set to maximum , up rated springs , hardened King Pins and Negative camber plates . Same as mine but I have softened springs, the speed bumps around our way made it difficult to slowly ride over without my foot jumping off the clutch. p.s. You have my e-mail address

Thats just your opinion . Well find a competition Morgan with finned drums then! If you want better rear brakes, people usually change to discs. Wouldn't go for finned drums for efficiency unless you want to polish them for appearance- they look nice but you won't get the drums hot enough for the fins to make a difference unless you are on a trackday or racing. They are probably not a bad thing on long Alpine descents!

You got the wrong end of the stick I was not on about brakes . I tried the track and decided I was not good enough to win along with not enough time and live to far away to go at it , so left the brakes as they are had I wanted rear discs for the road I would have got them but thought that was OTT . It was the CVH is a dead end , if we all had that attitude the same would have been said for Blackburn , Jap , Meadows, Coventry Climax , Wessex , Side Valve , Kent, etc etc . Each engine has its place in history and to remove one from a mog just for another does not sit easy in my books . In years to come when you lift the bonnet and its still the original , thats what people want to see , well I do . I would not wish to see a Super Sport without its TR engine . You devalue the car by changing the engine and you cant enter concours. Thats just your opinion . Well find a competition Morgan with finned drums then! Ah, Ok. Had a 4/4 with CVH, lovely car, but not very powerful and not easy to tune (unless bored out to 1.9 litre?). But absolutely fine for pottering and reliable.
