Has anyone designed a "top" to protect you from the sun? I started thinking about this from the thread on sunscreen. I am imagining something attached to the rear hoops (able to remove) it would swing down over your head after you were in. Then 2 pins to hold it down. I am thinking of just fabric over the top. Nothing fancy. Really hard to explain without a picture. Like the picture in the link below but without any support from the front.

As a point of reference, Morgan had a top/hood in the 30's. Not very attractive, but I guess you wouldn't get as wet or as sunburned. This was the only time I had the top/hood up. It spent the rest of the time rolled up on the frame behind the seat.

Scotty K. Uenoyama mailed this photo in Morgan Car Group on Facebook. It seems that a japanese M3W owner realised a soft top.

Keep mogging

P.S. Though I do love the hood on the vintage M3W flag

Interesting that he's gone to considerable trouble to have a new windscreen made up and fitted yet he has a bonnet strap that isn't actually of any use in holding it down!

How do you get into such a contraption?

A video of that exercise would be entertaining.

I prefer to use a helmet for the sun protection and long sleeve white shirts or jackets for hot weather.

The light at the end of the tunnel is actually a train. 2019 M3W
