Hi, hopefully successful in adding photo on to the site for the first time - does anyone recognise this latch on the passenger side of my RHD car. Looks old and original but I have not seen one similar.
I am looking for the same style (if it is correct) for the drivers door. Thanks, Bill
It looks like a very early Land Rover door handle . Try a landie dealer or the club . If not Woolies they may be able to help . I notice the handle sticks out the top give John Worrall a ring Heart of England Morgans he may know what it is.
There are very similar door catches with top release lever shown in the book "Original Morgan 4/4, Plus 4 and Plus 8 - The Restorers Guide" by John Worrall and Liz Turner.
Slight difference in that there is also a forward facing locking lever; the blook says that they were fitted from 1936 until 1971
Jays Former Morgan owner. Gone but hopefully not forgotten!
Just gone up the A1 and watched a landie rear door as I was behind him the handle was sticking out the bottom not the side . I wonder if its one like that .
Told me I did not suffer a mid life crisis I bought a mog at 38 y/old and had no time for one the mog kept me too busy.
I spoke to John Worrall about this a couple of weeks ago and he said it's been knocked up by one of its owners , he does not know of any mog with such a door handle .
