Try filling with the pump handle at the 3 o'clock position. This works on my Roadster. Don.

I fill mine with the handle at the 12 o'clock position! Seems to be a lot better though......... Presumably those people with 1980's plus 8's which had twin fillers didn't have a problem??

In all cases, I'm sure it's the vent pipe. After all, the main filler hose is more than big enough, so it can only be the air unable to get out. That will be caused by an air lock, a blockage or petrol going into the vent from the filler nozzle ( which explains why different angles give better results ). Ian

As already noted note exclusive to Morgans. My wife's Kluger does the same.

If you look on top of the fueltank, under stepwheel, you will see that the pipeline from filler to fueltank is so small that the pumps capasity is larger than the pipeline can take.

Thanks everyone. At least I know it's not me or the car and I will try a few of the suggestions here. A nice bright and very cold morning here so I am going to fit the Tonneau and take a spin through Ashridge Park

To be honest I need to slow down. I was caught speeding in my tin top the other day and now I have to attend a " Speed Awareness Course" I'm hoping they'll teach me how to speed without getting caught

...and take a spin through Ashridge Park Very nice! I'm under orders to assist the Chair of the In-Bloom Committee with gardening today . I was in Ashridge recently. You can see the pics on p.3 of the Morgan Photo Gallery ("Oh, What a Beautiful Morning"). Got a 120-mile trip planned tomorrow but it seems it won't be quite so sunny.

Your words about going out in the car - encouraged me to go out for a 3 hour quick spin myself - I didn't realise Wales had so much snow last weekend - I stopped for breakfast after an hour.
