Greg: I am in El Paso, and flew myself into the Scottsdale airport, where I was pick up by a salesman from Brighton.... in an M3W. visited extensively at the dealership, and met the owner, a most approachable individual, who gave me all the time I needed to inform myself about the machine. Brighton is a solid business, and should be a good base for you. I test drove the M3W, and liked it, except for the whine from the bevel box.. I have been assured that this has been corrected, along with the bump steering problem. So far, these are the only factors keeping me from ordering my car. PM me if you would like any further discussion. Regards, Tom

I see your point about Pete Larson...I wonder if he would install a custom engine turned dash like the ones he used in his Ace Cycle Cars? I'd pay BIG for that!
To be fair though - Pete copied his Ace from the original Morgan's. I heard that Morgan paid handsomely for his designs though, so I'm sure he's not too ticked about not being mentioned in promotional material!
Cheers

Belated reply to your first question. I live just north of Scottsdale(Carefree). I ordered my 3W in Oct. 2010 when the factory opened the books for orders. I ordered mine via Morgans West as there was no AZ dealer at that time. About a year later Brighton was appointed as agents and recommended by many of those who own four wheelers and know Shane Mustoe. Mine was delivered in Nov. 2012.
Brighton is highly regarded by local Morgan owners and both races with us and services many of the standard Morgans. They currently have my 86 there re-doing the fuel injection system. I also have a 58 which is primarily a racer. They also organize local rallies.
I think Morgan is now restricting sales via dealers to support them and owners.
If you fly into Phoenix I would be happy to pick you up, let you drive mine and take you over to Brighton. No problem.
Good luck.

Cheers Oh, Im sure that Pete was paid on honest amount for the design rights to the new M3W and thought it was "inspired" by the original M3W, it was nothing like the original. To me, the only part that really bothers me is the dishonesty about it. The way they word it by the company is as though the idea for the new M3W was dreamed up in house and designed in house... Star Wars is now owned by Disney...thats like Disney now claiming that they came up with the idea for the original Star Wars and that it wasnt created and made by George Lucas. Change a couple of scenes and parts and claim entire production...

Would it be better to purchase from a UK dealer and shipped to the US? I am in the same boat - about to pull the trigger

I don't think ordering from the UK is an option...all orders in the US have to be placed by US dealers. With that said, I suspect you could order the car from a UK dealer and have him ship it to you in the US, but I doubt you would save any money as even a US purchase has to be made in British Pounds.
