What generous offers! I'd love the trip and I'm sure the wife would as well!

Any chance I could just order the car from the factory and have it delivered to Texas?

How does one arrange a tour of the factory? Whom should I call?

Many thanks to all you generous TMers!

I suspect that the car would have to be ordered or delivered through a dealer and probably sensible in case of warranty.

If you talk to Nick Baker (Showroom) or Mark Ledington (Sales) I am sure that they would arrange for you to have a private tour of the factory.

Best to e-mail Angela or Sally, BUT as they run tours daily, Mon-Fri AND you are about to order a 3 wheeler, I suspect that you could just turn up and tag along.

And as Jays says, if you are going to come over with the good Lady G, then we'll be only too pleased to join you and take you around the area (any excuse to drive).

And, if the Lady G is coming too, we'll need 2 of us (Jays you can take Mrs G !) to take you around the Malverns, as 3 into 2 does not fit!

Keep us informed!

Jeremy

Just what I was going to suggest Jeremy!

Angela is the tour guru but if you are a prospective purchaser Nick or Mark will probably take you round themselves for free! So....Angela.....tour with no sales pitch and Nick/Mark....tour with sales pitch!

If you do come over I suspect that there will be a number of us clamouring to meet up! drive

Have a generic question on the current Muirhead leathers vs the old Connolly hides.

I have an 86 +4 which has Connolly hides and 27 years later when I pull back the tonneau it still has that great leather smell.

The new 3-Wheeler with Muirhead leather has zero smell. At Prescott Hill Climb in 2011 +4 Anniversary several owners of the latest Morgans made similar comment. I have been using Gliptone and Girot's leather smell product on a sponge trying to bring out some leather smell.

I also do not think the texture of the Muirhead is as nice as the old Connolly. Different tanning I presume.

Anyone else notice the same?

I wonder if this is to do with some sort of weather seal applied to the leather to protect it in the wet, and which is 'containing' the natural smell.

I suspect you are right Dave. The Muirhead certainly doesn't smell of leather and seems to be pretty waterproof. All my offcuts of different leathers have a wonderful smell. Well....apart from one piece but I think that came from India!

The black muirhead leather in my Roadster and previous 4/4 had a nice leathery aroma, it was the first thing you noticed upon opening the door. I always fed the trim with a Morgan branded leather cream (which was very reminiscent of the old Connolly hide food in smell and consitency) and I use this on the leather Probax Sorts seats on the Elise too.
