I purchased a 2011 plus 4 last August that had the first 1000 mile service done at the factory. Now with 2500 miles on the clock and weather permitting hopefully soon to be having my first summer of enjoyable open top motoring I think that it probably should now have an annual service. Can anyone please give me an idea on what a reasonable service cost should be.

Peter,
I also have a 2011 Plus 4 which I bought and have serviced at my local dealer. It is going in for this years annual service the week after next however last years service (at 5000 miles) was £294.00. I will update you when the next bill comes in for the 10,000 mile service.

Peter
My 2009 4/4 Sport had its 4 year / 36,000 mile service last week £442 including MOT and servicing.
Pls note : my drums were showing signs of rust so were painted and the handbrake warning light was u/s so new switch was installed.
I'd estimate 1 hour's labour (drum plus switch) plus it was about £12 (?) for the switch, so deduct £50 for MOT and £56 + £12 (plus £16.50 for VAT), making about £350 for the service element.
I believe the Williams "menu pricing" shows the Roadster as being slightly cheaper than the 4/4.

Cheaper than my 12,000 service on my R1200GS motorbike last week.... £416 'Spect the BMW hourly rate is more than William's £56 plus VAT. I remember the moment I had when Mercedes told me their rate was £ 103 per hour... plus VAT. PLUS VAT. In 2006. NEVER going back there again. Or main dealer Jaguar (XK8 12k service £800 incl a few bits of work - down to £450 when I took the car to an independent specialist and was prepared to freeze my nuts off rather than sitting in a glass showhouse with attractive receptionist and "free" {= £350} coffee). We live. We learn. Jeremy

Thank you, prices are less than I had imagined so good news. I checked Williams menu price for annual plus 4 service, it states approx £500 but this apparently varies with age and mileage so possibly this could be top end for my low milage car.

Jeremy, £75 plus vat per hour. 3.6 hours service. The rest is expensive synthetic racing oil (totally unnecessary for a GS in my view) gearbox and diff oils, brake fluid, 4 spark plugs at nearly £20 each etc etc.

I was amused when I had my Vanquish serviced by Works Service (Aston) some years ago. I had lost the Aston umbrella which lived under the boot lid held by two Velcro loops. I asked them to replace the umbrella, which they did, but spotted on the bill the 'labour to install umbrella' at £12.
