We were Rallying in France this weekend well one day anyway!! I suffered heat stroke, and could not compete on the sunday which was a bummer as we were laying in 10th with 15 seconds of penalties on the Saturday.
- Leather flying helmet and goggles when it's properly cold - Flat Cap when just chilly - Baseball cap when warm and sunny - Bush Hat when it's bloody hot for max shade

A hat is essential with the hood down. I have a simpler regime than Hamwich. Baseball cap in most weathers, and a woollen cap over the top when its really cold.

I don’t wear a hat even with the hood down. I have a full head of hair
Full head of hair! I wore my Flying helmet and googles, scarf on the friday as we left home at 0530h, hood down with our faith full leg blanket over our knees (Velcro's to underside of dash and shuts in the doors so it does not rise a speed, and a hole for the gear stick)!! Looks like a base ball cap then but I'll need a strap to keep it on. Any other ideas chaps!
