In 1938 Morgan appeared on the world stage, competing at the famous 24 hour race at Le Mans against the best sports cars of the day driven by the best international drivers. Two enthusiastic amateurs, Prudence Fawcett and Geoff White from the Winter Garden Garages brought the Morgan home to 13th place having covered over 1,350 miles.

Now the story is being told in full together with Morgan's foray into other international pre war races, remarkably all in the same Morgan 4-4. This book tells the story of Morgan's adventures in the RAC Tourist Trophy races in 1937 and 1938 and at Le Mans in 1938 and 1939, together with extensive biographies of the Morgan competitors.

Numerous rare black and white photographs have been used to illustrate the races drawn from private collections of the personalities who were actually there.



This hard back book is printed on 250 pages of high quality paper. Only 250 copies are being produced.

I only have about 50 copies left of the First Edition and will be at the Bentley Drivers Club Silverstone meeting on 10th August and of course, at Canterbury on Sunday 18th August with the remaining copies. Sorry, You are all going to hate me for this but it has to be said.
For any serious collector of Morgan literature, it adds very little if nothing
On the other hand, if it fills a gap in in your Morganalia, then by all means enjoy.
For me, its derivative, simplistic and really not something I would look at twice

Gosh - I am so sorry that you did not find the book interesting. I was hoping to put Morgan's pre war achievements in context and give the reader an insight into the personalities who raced the cars, neither of which I thought, had been adequately covered before.

No, I wouldn't be overly concerned with my comments. I'm well known as being almost entirely impossible to please
In fairness to you, it was always a hard 'ask' because- and let's be honest here- when compared to the fan and driving base of The Rileys, Singers, MGs etc the Morgan use numbers ( for competition or road) were always so much smaller.

So, all credit for having a go and ignore my whingeing!
Moreover, when I showed it to a mate of mine, he thought it was terrific, so that puts my views very firmly in perspective
