Hmmmm......I'm not sure with the older style wing that there is any form of adjustment except with a hammer or crowbar!

I don't think they are fobbing me of, but all the same I think there is a problem with my bonnet that goes beyond the changed position of the catches. My dealer has suggested that I pop along tomorrow and they will take a look and also compare it to their demo Roadster. The position of the catches has changed to accommodate the bigger engine on the 3.7 and I understand the new position is less than ideal. If Morgan have slapped the catch on in not quite the right position then they will put it right. If not - well, I'm not sure what the answer is

Good luck David. I really hope they can sort it for you. Thanks. I think the good folk at Richard Thorne have sorted it. The front catches were pretty stiff so they have filed them down a little and generally fettled around with all 4 catches. Now, with a little technique and reasonable strength, I can open them   Looking at the position of the catches and comparing them with a 4/4 in the workshop I can see what they mean about the positioning. The catches are much further forward on the Roadster and the angle can cause difficulties when opening the bonnet.

So nice to know one is not alone. I have a recently-acquired 1986 Morgan Plus 4. Obviously the catch knobs have to be pressed downwardly, but that causes palm trauma and often is ineffective, especially if others are watching and smirking. What I do is to press downwardly on the knob, using the base of the forefinger of one hand, and simultaneously press downwards with my thumb applied to the knob shaft. When you feel the catch release, you pull the bonnet toward you.
