I'm driving my 1990 +8 down to Greece next month, although it's only once let me down and fully serviced I have to face the fact that it's now 23 years old. Have the forum members got any suggestions for must carry spares? One Thames Valley member recommended a spare fuel pump, any other thoughts?

Cable ties (biggish ones). Hold together all sorts of things in emergency situations and if you get good ones, a lot tougher than most people give them credit for.

Gaffer tape...can't beat it! Spare fuses, bulbs etc. Actually for France it is a legal requirement to carry spare bulbs. It should be possible to get a suitable kit which also has some fuses in a neat plastic box. Spare relays would seem to make sense on an older car.
