For those of you who've done the Ecotec motor / transmission swap, I was wondering if you can answer a question for me (possibly with both info and photos).

I'm going to be building a entirely custom chassis for my '66 +4 for my MogRod project. Much of the design is going to be based off the existing chassis, but one thing that I need help sorting out is the motor mount positions. I can reference the originals on my existing chassis, but what I'd like to find out is where (and how) those of you who've done the Ecotec motor swap set up the motor mounts at.

Seeing as the motor and transmission's positioning is going to play a key part in how things are organized, it'd be very handy info. Now, granted, I can easily just stick the motor "as far back as I dare" and go with that... but if the information's available, I see no reason to not take advantage of the opportunity to acquire it!

Thanks in advance for anything you can provide!

"In the Morgan installation, the engine sits on two custom fabricated engine mounts each side of the crankcase" this might help ~ Regards PJB
