Looking for a 1960-on 4/4 scuttle panel for a build project I am doing in California. To be clear, this is when the 4/4 Series cars were built with "wide"(er) bodies going forward. Anything "recoverable", rust, dents ok, as long as the basic shape and crown is there.
Please contact me: lismoregordon@sbcglobal.net
Thanks, best wishes, gordon

Hi Graham, thanks for the welcome....yes, this is the search for a bit of body sheet metal grail, not the bulkhead itself, we are fine there, but the bit with the wiper holes and side windshield holes that tacks on the wood scuttle framing and defines the front of the door shape, etc. and bottoms in covering of the sill to the middle of the door typically.
So, casting the net internationally, fingers crossed somebody has one surplus to needs.
best wishes, gordon "lismore" ('60 +4 four seater)

Hi Graham,
Thanks for the Welcome!
Yes, I'm casting the net in hopes of finding this bit of sheet metal....just to be clear, this is NOT a bulkhead I'm looking for, it is the formed front panel on the body tub, the bit with the windshield wiper holes, the windshield mount holes on either side, and the side cutouts that form the front portion of the door openings.
As I said any panel that retains the unique shape of the top curve and crown, and the side treatment down to the sill. Likely the bottom of this piece will have rust and rot, usually do, but ok with that, can be mended.
Thanks again for having me on TalkMorgan, look forward to participating more, cheers, gordon "lismore"
PS...I did a "quick reply" to you yesterday, don't know if you or the forum got it, so going with the standard Reply, sorry if I'm repeating.

Hi Graham and Simon (moderator of For Sale &Wanted)......
Wonder of wonders, we found a low body 4/4 scuttle panel right here in our backyard in Northern California! So, I wanted to delete the wanted post but could not really figure out how to do that, or did I miss some obvious prompt? Knowing me, probably....
But many thanks to all 300+ who took a look at the ad, maybe multiple times, your eyes on were appreciated, cheers, gordon "lismore"

Hi Gordon, Glad you have found your needed part. You can only delete (or edit) a post for a few hours after posting. By notifying that you now have what you are looking for, hopefully it will stop others from now offering you the item. I say hopefully, as some don't read all the way through a thread! In case you haven't guessed, I'm also on NBC (and MogTalk). Good luck with completing the restoration.
