Jays: does the bonnet strap on any of the new 3 Wheelers (not just the Superdry, but the ones that can be ordered via Bespoke) actually function as a hold-down?
Or are all of the factory supplied ones 'fake'?
The things I like about the edition (most of which, I gather, could be done through the Bespoke program): the matt silver finish, the quilted interior, the headlight cages, and the orange-walls on the front tires. Also the contrasting stitching on the steering wheel.
If a functional bonnet strap existed, I might consider that.

I may be wrong but all the factory fitted bonnet straps....bar one....are dummy like the Superdry, ie bolted to the bonnet. There is certainly one M3W owner on this forum who has a functional strap, fitted to the body with traditional staples and I've seem one at the factory. The traditional staples are stocked by the likes of Holdens

Hi Bill

I had the factory one modified to function as a "hold down" one, with extra pins on be bonnet to keep it straight, see below.

Bill - I suspect any U.S. dealer can fit the headlight cages and a real strap if you're so inclined. I'm having the cages added to my build.
A cult thing I guess but I couldn't envisage driving a car giving free advertising to a clothes company AND pay a premium for it as well! Especially one with a clearly dummy bonnet strap !!
I still tear off the labels on Levi's and refuse to buy T-shirts with corporate logos. They want to advertise, then they can pay for it!

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

Bill, would love to see another M3W come Stateside! Unfortunately, I don't count among the owners - but certainly among the enthusiasts!
I would second your initial desire/interest in going through Dennis - he's a phenomenal ambassador to the Morgan marque and knows the ins and outs of the process.

I too find the Superdry livery a little...showy(?). I know that's a tough word to use when you're already describing a Mog, but come on! Who cares about some Japanese clothing line affiliate? It's my understanding that if it's the color scheme you favor that you could get the same base silver color and leather choice with essentially a graphics delete from the factory. Dennis could definitely tell you more!

I'm in Houston and College Station often - would make the trip to see it if you pull the trigger!

Thanks for the moral support, Utah.
Based on the input here, seems like the consensus is that the livery is hokey, even if alot of the constituent elements are not.
I'm pretty open minded about color, but still dig the matt silver.
So, once I'm committed (and yes, I'm gonna try to get some face time with a car), I'll update everyone.
Best,

Bill Hart
