Go back to your original thought in 1980, get a +8 without power steering that way she will be happy being a passenger and you will have the fun of driving.

Pete, I just realised you are in Devon, South Hams

If you want and are up Exeter way, I am just 20 miles further, you could pop in and experience my +8 which is pretty good, then you would get and idea of what a sorted +8 would be like. cheers
