Disaster of disasters, this afternoon I caught a bike pedal against the rear wing of my morgan leaving 3 (thankfully small) scrapes, though one is quite deep and all are back to the metal. Fortunately the car is royal ivory not a special colour. Can anyone point me in the direction of where is best to get touch up paint. Googling, I found the link below which looks like a good solution but I don't want to do any more damage ! At least it twas me not the kids !! http://www.chipex.co.uk/morgan-touch-up-paint/morgan-all-touch-up-paint.html

Ooh! - Nasty - I would take it to a good paint sprayer for advice.

Morgan have touch up paint kits. I got one with our car. It is not listed in their on-line shop but the Chipex Touch Up Kit is on the Price List for the cars. It is listed at zero cost and should come as standard with a new car. Given that you have a standard paint colour I imagine you are pretty safe going with Chipex. PS. I found the short video very informative. http://www.chipex.co.uk/instructions-i-18.html

Thanks ...sounds like I found the right product. I hadn't found the video and that makes it look nice and easy.
Originally I thought about going to a body shop as the car is just 2 1/2 years old but I bought the car to drive not look at and don't want to be too precious about the car (my wife may laugh if she reads that !!) otherwise I'll never leave it anywhere which means it will get used even less often.

Chipex is very good - I've used it a few times. Have you got a shot of the scratches?
Home painting for touch ups is ok for stone chips, but much tougher for scratches.
If you're back to the metal, it might take you a week of evening patient painting to make a decent job of it. Each layer is, of course, terribly thin, and you'll need to build up very slowly and not be tempted to rush it.
I'm very happy to PM you some tips if you decide to go ahead and do it yourself.
The worst case scenario, of you bridge it, is that you'd take it to a spray shop afterwards. So it's not a massive risk in some respects.

I got the Morgan touch up kit for my 4/4 - it took a couple of weeks to arrive as the paint is matched up to the car. Very easy to use, forgiving if you make a mistake and good instructions.

When I bought my 2001 4/4 second hand at Berrybrooks they showed me a small tin can in the glove box containing leftovers from the painting of my car. I use that to touch up the annual stone chips. They told me it was standard to put one box with the car.

autopaintsbrighton.co.uk just get the paint code from MMC for your car and order online either touch up or spray and the type of paint. Check what type of paint if on your car before you order, you can put cellulose on top of 2 pack, not sure if yours is water based, but they should be able to supply water based anyway.
I had to order some and was a VERY good match, and came in 24 hours.
Cheers
Adrian
