Am I right in thinking that Sinterklaas is father Christmas ? Could you please explain that one to me ? Other than that, I revel in he non-PCness of it.

Yes Sinterklass is father christmas. I always thought he lived in Spain because he lands in Scheveningen with his Zwarte Piets (black Peters) on I think Dec 6th

Well,actually Sinterklaas is Saint Nicholas...another excuse to buy presents for the kids..then the Dutch have Christmas as well,so for most parents December is quite an expensive month
