Great - sun was shining on departure - thrashed down shortly after, there were some positives and negatives :-

Positives:-
1. easy to spin around in the car park to make a quick exit

not so positives :-
1. flying jacket looks cool but acts like a great big sponge
2. fog light warning lamp now comes on when I select reverse ?
3. can't see where you are going - must take bike gear next time
4. fills up with water efficiently - add to mod list - drill holes in floor
5. left brake grabs which was interesting

Still had a great drive though !

As an ex Triumph Bonnevilee rider I can recommend the following to keep pretty dry in the Morgan 3W

1. Bellstaff or similar biking jacket except without the reinforcements, much slimmer than a flying jacket and as warm
2. Rubber trousers you can buy from a scooter shop to go over your existing trousers
3. Leather helmet and goggles
4. tonneau to cover passenger area
5. Motorcycle gloves

Or move to California!

personaly I don't mind driving it in the wet

I just hate cold+wet sick2

most annoying: water dripping on your legs pale
therefor I put half of the tonneau on my lap

Acquire plugs for those holes. Water will come up through those holes when the sun is shining and you run through wet roads and puddles!

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

For driving a three wheeler, wet or dry, this is the business.
Barnstormer jacket

Water proof leather, as tested in numerous drownings in my vintage three wheeler. Yes, it is expensive, but it's very well made and is the sort of coat one passes on to one's grandchildren.

I'm now banned from wearing Speedos so will stick to the bike gear!

Lovely and sunny today - much better - my new favourite website - apart from this one is BBC Weather.

I've made what is probably an intelligent decision. I've decided not to show that link to swmbo

But thanks for sharing anyway blush
