In 8 months and 2000 miles nothing has stopped the car from driving. Have had some strange noises and 2 oil changes - one at 200 miles - one at 900 miles. Changed filter only for the 900 mile change and used a cheaper oil for the first change since the oil wasn't in for long and car was running-in.

I bought some inner tubes. You'll need a jack to change a wheel but I did manage to get the front wheels off without removing the mudguards but it isn't easy and requires a good deal of fiddling and upward pressure on the mudguard as you try to push the wheel on. Best not attempted first time by road-side!

Car well bolted in general but spanners and other suggestions very sensible.

I would generally avoid a long run without a period of time to sort out any oddities or slight adjustments needed, but the latest cars seem fairly well sorted. Good luck!!

Screwdrivers might be a waste of time as I think you'll find all the screws are hex heads so a decent set of Allen keys would be a good idea.

Thanks !

Nice to hear they fixed problems arising while producing the car. Flexibility and reactivity are the advantages of a small car maker.
I will have a first ride from Paris to Rennes, 350 km, to judge it.
I will get the oil changed on arrival as well.

There is a good HD dealer and several bike shops in Rennes, so I took note of your reference for the filter.

Same for the jack. I will get one.

I can't wait to take the plane tomorrow and receive the keys of the Morgan !

Yep !

So, yesterday, we took the car to the country side for a few pictures... Following the trip from France to Constanta (Paris - Rennes - Constanta). I went to Rennes to spend one night home and service the car with 500 km, at HD Rennes, very nice guys.
The car is doing fine, I had only two issues on the road, a misalignment of the belt, and lights not properly adjusted.
The first one made the car very noisy but no damages.
The second one made me crazy since I discovered it in the Transylvanian mountains where I could see only the left turns by night !
I had some "unusual" cars like a TVR Tuscan but this Morgan makes people completely crazy. Some were almost pushing me out of the road while "holding-the-iphone-driving-and-smiling"...Special mention to the Hungarian cops with their speed camera showing their thumb up !
I did it in 46 hours, two nights in the car (I really slept in the car, below the cover), and hundreds of fans on the road... The way back will be in September.

Here are the pictures from yesterday;
