My AVO were a good investment and stops the rear axle crash so that would be when they hit the liners..

As Neil says it is important to ensure the liners are no more than 15mm from the actual wheel arch or you risk tyre scrub on the liners. smile

The other advantage of the liners is that it appears to lessen the road noise inside the car. Having a Roadster which is exceptionally quiet anyway ( compared to a V8 somestick at AJSki2Fly ) the problem of road noise on some surfaces can be quite annoying. The A35 in East Devon being a typical example. The other thing is that you don't get the ping of stones hitting the wheel arches and the possible damage that can do to the wing and paintwork
