You can get centre lock Minilites to fit Morgans. I looked into it as did Williams for me...they were keen on the idea I think...when I fitted Avon CR6ZZs to a set of new wheels.

Whilst Minilite make centre lock wheels for the Plus4SS, they are a one off with cast in splines and the ones they will otherwise provide have their bolt in splines fitted. These are as heavy as 4/4 wire wheels, if not slightly heavier so I stayed with wires.

The Minilites on my Plus4 SuperSport are more than 20Kg of weight including tire. That is almost 2 Kg more of weight in total compared with e.g. Roadster Sport 6.5x15 black painted spoke wheels. The P4SS minilites are even heavier than 16 inch stainless steel spokes. TBH I love my car but I am searching for different wheels matching the center hubs. I drove some miles with Roadster Sport wires, much better feel, easier, better response when accelerating. But they do not fit, they are much to narrow. The same is about Morgan standard alloys. We changed one hub to 5 bolt. The result was not sufficient because the car is much wider and the wheels would dissapear in their housing.

I would appreciate if someone can give a recommendation for nice lighter wheels.

If money is no issue, you could get the real magnesium minilites or Turrino alloy wire wheels.

Soleng, thank you very much.

The Turrino alloys would look amazing with the RAF blue P4SS especially with thick spokes and not polished.

Can an expert tell me the exact offset of the Mini Lite on Plus 4 Supersports? If I am right, they have the dimension 7x15.

Does anyone know who manufactured the steel disc wheels for the 70th 4/4s. I am sure the makers name must be pressed into the back side of each wheel

Heinz - Turrino were at the NEC in November. Give them a call, they are very helpful.
