Is the Morgan (1988 4/4) kingpin assembly the same as that from a Triumph? I ask because I can dismantle the kingpins and Leacy's (Birmingham) can provide complete kingpin replacements - already assembled and ready for fitting...so long as they're Triumph! Any advice gratefully received.

Morgan front suspension is unique, with nothing in common with any other manufacturer (although Lancia did employ a similar system back in the 30s, I think) Gerry.

Morgan front suspension is unique, with nothing in common with any other manufacturer (although Lancia did employ a similar system back in the 30s, I think) Gerry. Lancia used the system from 1922 to 1957 and they were known for their good handling. If I understand correctly it is a true sliding pillar system, in which the kingpin moves up and down and the stub axle is fixed to the king pin. I have never seen one though so I can't be sure. The Morgan system is actually is a sliding stub axle system in which the king pin is fixed.
