Mine have press-studs - fitted from new. No movement - but I do cover them with cheap Aldi mats to protect them - these have non-slip backing so do not move either. - But they do need to be cut to go around the pedal box.

Yes, i had that problem too.

Clean them with a de greaser like alcohol or use rubber cement to supplement the adhesive backer. Let it dry before use.

Try some of those tray mats - soft rubber mesh.

That's it! Special shoes with rubber on bare aluminium, no mats in front of pedals - i feel fine!

Thanks to everyone for your help and advice, the best idea sounds like the press studs and I will get the dealership to fit them in case I drill through something important. I don't like the idea of my leather driving shoes on raw aluminium, it reminds me of an early Lotus 7 and the M3W is a far more sophisticated vehicle than that!

I used extra adhesion genuine Velcro. Works a treat.

I am so pleased that I changed over to bound carpet shaped from the originals.

I still have two spare sets if anyone fancies them, in charcoal / black deep pile, looks and feels very nice. If they get a soaking just take them out and dry off.

Also pleased with the look of the build plate I bought from the Morgan Shop.

Last service I arranged for Allon White to fit black studs to both mats and it has cured the problem and looks good

On my last service at Allon White they fitted black press studs to both sides at the rear of the mats (nearest to the seats) and they are perfect now, they stay perfectly in place and are easy to clean. I think they look better than raw metal also but I suppose that is a matter of opinion

My floor mats from MR came with the same fittings. Work very well.
