JTL - I am not clear what you used.
do you applay anything after the clean, eg polish/wax/silicon ?
Thought this may help I have polished stainless steel wires I tried something different . I used that showroom shine , covered ( soaked ) both sides of the wires ( you could not see any of the metal ) let it dry . Then out with the microfibre dusters . They still look stunning after a lot of dusty miles. Put my finger on the rear of them last night and the dust is so fine you can't see it .
I dont use it on my car bodywork .
