Gents,
I've been communicating with a representative of the factory about this through the evening. I've been asked to point out that this isn't a manual just parts list, which I think we are all aware of.
What I didn't realise and I've been and checked, and yes I did download it, is that the manual is wrong and out of date. Seems the way were getting the link was via the external sources who did the work.
So that's the bad news. Now for some more positive news
I did put to the MMC representative that it wouldn't be a bad idea to make this information available especially for people like Q8 who are miles from a dealer. The idea will be put before management and maybe and I stress maybe the updated version might be made available officially. Again it's not a manual just a parts plan.
No promises but I'll chase it up in a few weeks time. Sounds like a great idea. The BHM parts list for the classics is very useful and drives sales (from me at least). It should be used as a sales tool....

Thank you very much for speaking on my behalf and bring up the issue on needing such manuals to help out owners that can't service at a morgan dealership

asbojohn - By not making it available publicly, they are only hurting themselves in my opinion. This isnt going to stop people from taking their cars to dealerships, but for those who would want to work on their own cars anyway, it would assist in giving snapshots on how things come apart and go back together.

It's one thing having a copy of the parts manual available but I think you are being too hard on the factory regarding the workshop manual not being available. Most car manufacturers would not make their dealer only manuals available to the general public for current models which are still so new as to be in their warranty period.

Jays I think you are perfectly correct in your statement. The need to tinker would be irresistible if you had a manual and I suspect we'd see a strong correlation between manual sales and warranty claims.

I'm not saying releasing the factory service manual is necessary, I agree that most auto makers don't ever release these to the public and I understand the rational. However, I don't feel that releasing a parts manual would be a bad thing or hurt their business in any way. If anything, it may help it.
In the US, dealerships are many thousands of miles apart and often people will be living no where near one. This means that more than likely for most of their car maintenance and repairs, they will be doing their own work or contracting people to do it for them who aren't part of the Morgan network. This is not your average auto maker where another dealership is right around the corner.
