Many thanks to all for the suggestions and yes I have probably stuffed to much stuff behind the seats and then lowered the hood. Visited Southport and they stuck some rubber pads over the bracket, hopefully problem solved, just left with a couple of indentations in the window, which as long as they don't get any worst I can live with. Thanks again for all replies and happy motoring.

A Dremel or similar is the easy way to do polishing jobs as you can get mops for them. I've even attacked glass with jewellers rouge with mine.


I made a right old pigs ear of using my Dremel to polish (what was) a rather nice Dunhill key fob. There's an skill to polishing. One I don't possess.
