At the last service, I asked that they center the steering wheel, because the "stitching" was not exactly at the top when the wheels were straight.

But my 3W return to me with the steering on the other side, the middle branch was on the top!?

After reflection it's not bad:
- you can put your hand at 10h10
- you can see the speedometer.

What is you point of you?
I'm going to engrave the 3W logo on my Superdry Steering wheel, I have to be sure of that!

Perhaps more understandable with photos:

Before

After

After a trip on mountain road, I like it that way. But is there any cons to have like that?

PS: sorry if my English is not enough good to be understood ;-)

Fred,

your English is fine and coming through loud and clear.

Good idea turning the wheel upside down.

The upside down mounting was in fact standard on many sports cars in the 50's -60's such as Healeys.

So clever Fred, you solve one problem and create another, why did I not think of that! My badge will be upside down!!

Think I am going down the Brooklands or Motolita 4 spoke route ASAP.

This bad boy can go on the garage wall!

I turned my steering wheel through 180 degrees soon after it was delivered as you could not see the tacho. This is important, particularly in the running in period. I have had no problems with it this way round and cannot understand why they fit them with the wheel arm obscuring the tacho (or speedo on LHD I suppose) from new.

I've had mine upside down since its first service - so I reckon it is now actually the right way up and much better too.

Which instrument is the most important?

I felt that I wanted to see the tacho, so I just swapped the speedo and tacho aross, now I can only see what speeds I'm doing up to 70, after that my hand obscures it, using the 11.5" Motolita, but if the tacho is showing 4k then I know I am in excess of 80. The down side is that you can't always see if the indicators are flashing and as they are a bit hit and miss, this is important. It also obscures the voltmeter readout!
