Hi, my mind went wandering this afternoon, and I wonder if someone could tell me the brand of steering hub used in the threewheeler?
It's not super important, but I'm curious nonetheless.

Steve Simmonds has a Detachable Wheel. You will need to speak to him about it as it does not appear to be on the website http://www.simmondsshop.com/superspoke-steering-wheels-139-c.aspHope This Helps. Frank

Thanks, everyone, Think you'll find this is the one Lifeline Yes, that's the one. Bummer, I was hoping it was from Sabelt or perhaps NRG, giving a bit more choice for an easy swap(stainless or black alu, for one).

I found Lifeline only deal with the trade , they recommended Demon Tweaks who had them in stock.

Thanks. I took a look at demon-tweeks.co.uk, and it seems golden is the only option. However, after reading that, I'm now wondering if the thing is bolted on or welded on as that is the two options from what I can find. If welded, then I'm out of luck and will have to employ tape and a spray can.

I am hoping welded as I believe the bolted options get a bit loose in time.

Well, I'm hoping bolted, because it will be easier to swap. And abot getting loose, I don't see that as a problem at all. If need be, it could be both loctite'd and lockwired if really paranoid. Think of what else of the steering is bolted on and not welded. It's not like bolts are untested or a lesser choice. In fact, unless you have an X-ray machine, what makes you think the welding is good and not sub-par? That it's not corroding from within?

All good points, I just remember when I had a Lotus Exige and a Caterham that the QR brakets that people retrofitted the welded option was the best.
