Thanks! It didn't start out that way. We fell in love with her fathers black M3W on a recent motorcycle trip around Taos, NM. After we decided to sell off some toys and buy one, we realized that being made out of a fair amount of aluminium, it only made sense to call it our 10 year present (10 year anniversary is usually aluminum or tin). Good thing too, since I had no idea what to get her otherwise.

I'll be sure to post a photo once it lands and again next to her father's. should be a kick in the arse to have two in the family. We all ride motorcycles, including my wife (probably why she loves the M3W so much). Now, I have a feeling the bikes are staying at home.

My first post here , my M3W ordered at the weekend , I have been told late October delivery
Four weeks to make my mind up about colours etc. Shiny black winning at the moment with brown leather trim and leather bonnet strap , though preference is changing every
with every new photo I see!
The more I read about the mechanical problems folk are having , concern is deepening is it really such a good idea.
Is it possible to say if the problems have more been with the early builds as they were ironing out production glitches, or are there still mechanical issues with recent builds ?

@Nippymog - all cars are going to have issues and generally people only speak up if they have a problem with a product and not if a product is working up to and exceeding expectations. Typically on a forum like this it is much more apparent as people ask around to see if others are having similar issues. For every car you hear about with issues on here, there are numerous having zero problems with ownership thus far.

If you have a dealership close by,you would be in much better shape than i will be,you wouldnt want to be in my shoes.im in kuwait and there isnt a dealership here.end of the year they will have a dealership in dubai but its also a hassel to ship it there.i will need a trailer & over 15hrs drive through saudi arabia to get there.

But lifes too short to think twice and im taking my chance on it.worth the look and joy it will get me.

Dont worry the company has upgraded many parts.from what ive understood have the factory change the bevel box oil before you take it.if the oil is clear your good to go.

Hi Nippymog, welcome to the wonderful world of M3W ownership. At the moment it's a bit of a lottery as to what, if anything, will be wrong with your car, but it is safe to say that the more the factory make, the better they will be. My first one, in shiny black with tan leather, had an almost silent bevel box but atrocious bump steer, I'm now on my second one, so obviously it couldn't have been that bad, but it has an atrocious bevel box and atrocious bump steer, but is much more professionally put together with some noticeable improvements, like the forward gearlever position.

If the factory don't do anything about the bump steer, then there are several people working on a fix, even as we speak, so I have high hopes that it won't continue to be an issue, and frankly, if most of your driving is on good roads, then you may not even notice it.

Be assured however, that whatever the issues, you will enjoy owning and driving it more than you will will be annoyed and frustrated with it.

I guess I just got cold feet after reading about the issues other people were having, but what you say makes sense.
This is a significant purchase for me , last thing I need is it to become a nightmare.
I now feel I am very fortunate to live a 5 minute drive from my dealer !
