Guys; careful.
There are two points of possible lubrication being talked about here. The oil in the bevel box is one, and the other is a possible belt dressing. I'd not put oil anywhere near the belt and suspect it would cause the belt to fail.
While the Morgan belt is subject to higher loads than it would be on a bike, more weight and more tyre resistance, the basics of how one looks after a belt should be well known to the motorcycle brigade as they are quite common on Harleys and recent choppers.

Always like to keep a heads up and try and avoid problems before they start. I am glad you post what is really going on, having the only M3W in AlabAMA, i HAVE ONLY SEEN ONE OTHER.

I've now done 400 trouble free miles since the broken bevel box was replaced and am liking the M3W experience more and more A tour of North Wales coast yesterday was the first time in tunnels - deafening!! Perhaps I should have been in 5th rather than 3rd Also first time in my M3W flying jacket, and I'm glad I wore it - very snug. Need clear goggles and a flying helmet now, as rain in your face/head at any sort of speed is like needles being thrown at you. Trying to persuade to invest in a flying jacket, but she reckons we both wouldn't fit in if she did - lol. Looking forward to more revs to be released by ECU at completion of running in de-tune. Should I notice much improvement in performance?

Q8 - the dealer had fitted a replacement bevel box to a used M3W for sale in the showroom. It had a noisy one originally. When mine disintegrated they just took it back out and fitted it into my M3W. No need to wait for the factory to supply a replacement, so it was fixed in a couple of days. I believe the ecu keeps the revs down for around the first 20 hours whilst running in. Only 400 miles to first service, so it can't be too far off allowing all the horses come out to play

Q8 - the M3W handbook says it is essential to replace the bevel box oil every 100,000 miles or 5 years. Hard to credit, but it probably requires less maintenance than any other part of the vehicle!
There is a drain plug in the base of the centre casing. You refill oil to the base of the filler hole in the back plate (300ml fill) The type of oil isn't stated.

Thanks warbird but from the forum i got that 80/140 synthetic gear oil.. Im going to ask the factory to do the first service & change bevel box oil as well before shipping it to kuwait,I'm planning then to use it to 500km and change oils and filter again.every 500km full oil changes even the bevel box oil.thats my service plan to do here.but i heard the most important service is the first bevel box oil change at the factory if the oil is not clear i heard I'm going to have a bevel box problem pretty soon after.
