I also learnt that y/day , had the chap came on T.M.and told us then it would have been so easy to sort out and no need for the aggression . ( Sorry lads I cant help but think I have a short VERY short fuse and here I am writting about someone else . I feel two faced but at least if I b*lls it up I am willing to say sorry and move on . The views and statements I made were based on the best knowledge I had available to me. I gave what I believed was an even handed view of the car as it was the last time I saw it in 2011. I have now learned that the car was waiting for a repair slot at Tudor Motors from a front end accident.I have been told that the repairs were completed. I am happy to acknowledge this and say that the condition of the car should now be judged on the state it is today.

Let's just say, that if I were in the market for a 4 wheel car, I would not buy his on the grounds of his hissy fits. Not even if it were offered cheaply. Such an idiot.
My feelings precisely.

To get the thread back on track...... Think of it like buying a house. Brand new and spend time settling in and fine tuning the decor/ garden etc. Pre-loved where things have been done, but you still have " personalisation" in mind. In the end it's down to personal choice/ preference and aims and abilities. You could even end up changeing models as you grow into Morgans. As you grow to enjoy yours you will meet others with different models and you will be tempted......... I was!!!!!!!!!!! Keep Maureen and lavish her with attention? (19 year old 4/4) bought as 4th owner. Then along came Scarlett...... 11 year old Plus8 ............. Bought as 3rd owner. Both Corsa red. Maureen named after Maureen O'Hara - gorgeous redhead. Scarlett because she's fiestier than Maureen and the name suits her. In the end you will enjoy the Morgan whichever route you take. Just choose whichever suits / matches you ( and - VERY important) My debate was new plus4/ 4/4 Pre loved plus8/roadster. Scarlett came along after a spell of looking and debating and it was simplified. Advice from others was hugely helpfully too. There, fingers are tired now........ Off to see Scarlett in her boudoir........

This smacks of threats of litigation having been exchanged, and I seriously think the GoMog dude should go back to the cave he came from. I don't know what's worse, the Gomog bloke throwing a hissy fit, or you trying to please him to the extent you have. As a lawyer I know only too well that the issue of ligation or threats thereof is an avenue open to both sides. It is also, for reasons of cost, delay and, in this case the issue of conflict of laws and the correct forum for any case to be hear, not always the most appropriate way to go I cannot- and will not- discuss whether the car's owner and myself discussed litigation and which of us might have instigated this. Suffice to say that the way we decided to resolve the issue was acceptable to us both. Not ever having met the car's owner, I cannot comment on whether he is by nature litigious but I can assure you that I went into this seeking a specific result and the outcome has satisfied me Those on TM who know me would, I hope, agree that I am not the kind of person who does, in your words, 'try to please someone' at the expense at what I believe to be a perfectly legitimate stance Perhaps the most important thing to take away from all this is that we are fortunate in that TM is a site which allows all of us( within sensible limits) to air our views I for one am very grateful for that I hope that sheds some light on the matter G

Expressing opinions are protected both in the UK and the US. There is no need to play into the hands of an obvious idiot with fantasies about clout, thereby confirming his fantasies.
It was pretty obvious that the thing stated about the car(s) in question was pure opinion, regardless of threats. And what pisses me off, is that neither of you realised that other people are allowed to have an opinion on any matter, without having to find some middle ground, and without making a joint press release sort of thing.
It's a freaking car, and if the tosser can't handle that his car is being discussed on another forum he should be told just how much of a childish tosser he is. And people doing as he wants because he throws a hissy fit are making things worse. They're supportive of the mindset of a six-year-old.
I can say that I think the car in question is a big pile of painted rust, or even better, I can say that "IF it's the car I have seen, it is a big pile of painted rust", and no amount of threats or attempts at litigation will turn out well for him.

I'm off to see a solicitor now seeing the pi$$ taking I've been on the end regarding the baboons arse As my solicitor says who cares whose to blame, just make a claim . Followed quickly by that will be £500 sir Gerwyn, does this mean we'll be seeing you in a new car soon?

My ex associate Jeremy named one of his pubs "The Honest Lawyer" on the basis that it was considerably more far fetched than, for example, a pig that can play the whistle.
